All the different styles of buildings that can be found in the Jamesos Realm.
The Jamesos Realm has many different cultures so it has many different architectural styles. Lets go though the different types of houses in the Jamesos Realm.
Jamesians and Harratans have tiled roofs and sometimes have triangles on some of the spines of some houses with patterns painted on the walls. Jamesian and Harratan houses on average have around 1 to 6 rooms. Jamesians and Harratnas usually sleep on the upper floors or on top of bunks if the house is one story or are apartments. They usually have 3-12 people living in them.
Astart Houses are similar to Jamesian Houses but don't have triangles added to their spines. The Astarts influenced other peoples like the Axerians and Orodians to adopt this style of architecture. Astarts usually live in large groups (4 to 20 people) and the average house has around 4 to 12 rooms and usually have modules attached to them.
Balatartians and some Orodians live in stone houses with thatched roofs. They only have 2 to 6 rooms (2 or 3 per story) and usually have around 3-8 people living in them.
The Oxa houses have different types of home depending on where they live. Oxa that live in small towns and villages live in wooden huts, but in cities they live in stone apartment that usually have wooden modules attached to them. These modules are for storage and for cheap sleeping areas. The wooden huts have 3 to 4 rooms and only have a single family living in them (3 to 8 people). The apartments usually have 3 families in them (9 to 24 people).
The Zaratians are semi-nomadic and live in tents as they need to move their camps around. The tents usually contain a single family (3-8 people) only. They have 1 to 2 rooms and some have metal roofs. Zaratians tend to spend most of their time outside unless it's raining, snowing or night time.
The Zardonians and Korkins share the same building style. The Korkins live in triangle houses and in temples. The Zardonians also live in these buildings but are more likely to live in apartments with the sleeping quarters on the top floor. They usually live in groups of 4 or 8 in the houses and 12-30 in the apartments.
Karutu live in stone spires but when there are no spires around they live in Katanian styled houses often copying things like the stilts that are built to protect the houses from flooding. The Katanians build their roads with wooden planks as stone is uncommon in the Katanian plains. The Karutu and the Katanians live in small groups (1-6 people) and their houses usually contain 1 to 3 rooms.
The Ssatu and Shata live in big clay and mud-brick houses that are domed but only contain one room. with platforms around the walls of the dome which contain one Ssatu or Shata family. The small pot like houses were storage huts converted into sleeping huts that can happily fit one or two Ssatu (Or 3 Shata since they're smaller) in them. The small triangle huts are cheap buildings there for sleeping in or sheltering from the rain and snow and can handle up to 4 Ssatu or 6 Shata in them. Ssatu and Shata also live in ruins that have been turned into living quarters.
Ryuutu and Haapitu live in the mountains, but if there is no suitable rocks to dig homes into, they build houses with tiled roofs. They have the biggest spread of occupant numbers from as low as 1 to as high as 40 Jamesianoids as the mountain can allow cave towns to be created.
